Three members of the Bowdoin women's squash team have been recognized in All-NESCAC awards announced this week by the conference. Sophomore Emma Watts-Roy (Louisville, Ky.), first-year Darcy Weber (Newport, R.I.) and sophomore Amanda Cowhey (Ft. Washington, Pa.) were all named Second Team All-NESCAC.
Watts-Roy played at the number one position for Bowdoin this winter, matching up against the top players in the nation and collecting five wins to repeat as a Second Team All-Conference choice. Weber earns her first postseason honor, collecting five wins on the season, playing primarily at the number two spot on the ladder. Amanda Cowhey also repeats as a Second Team selection, playing number three for Polar Bears and racking up 11 wins on the year.
The three All-NESCAC choices matches last year's mark as the most for the program since 2008-09.
The Polar Bears finished an outstanding season with a record of 12-11, ranked 16th nationally.
