Southern Maine Community College Seawolves Log Convincing Win Vs. Bryant and Stratton, Remain Undefeated At Home

The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) women's soccer team took down United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Div. 1 Bryant and Stratton College- Albany 7-1 on Saturday, Oct. 8.

The home team combined for three goals in the first half and four in the second half to hand the Bobcats their worst loss of the season. Sophomore Paige St. Pierre (Waterville, Maine) and first-year Chanelle McDonough (Gorham, Maine) each scored twice—McDonough leads the Seawolves and ranks third among conference opponents in goals (8). Senior Paige Lord (Pittsfield, Maine) and first-years Mikayla Martorano (Gorham, Maine) and Emilienne Biddings-Augustine (New Gloucester, Maine) all put away one; sophomore captain Ammelia Lunt (West Gardiner, Maine) logged two assists.

Bryant and Stratton netted one late on a corner kick at the 69:29 mark.

First-years Grayson Soldati (Portland, Maine) and Mia Pasciuto (Littleton, Mass.) split halves to combine for four saves.

SMCC climbs to 5-1-4 overall, and remains 2-1-1 in conference play.

The action continues when SMCC plays host to Central Maine Community College in a meaningful regular season finale on Wednesday, Oct. 12. Kickoff at Wainwright is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
