Bowdoin College Women's Golf Takes Fourth Place Showing at Williams Classic

The Bowdoin College women's golf team placed fourth of eight teams in the Classic Division of the Williams Fall Invitational last weekend at Taconic Golf Club.

 

Tournament Highlights

  • Competing in the Classic Division of the event, the Polar Bears posted a two-day total of 667, improving nine shots as a team on day two to finish behind only York (643), Bates (661) and Wesleyan (666).
  • Shivani Schmulen led the way for Bowdoin, finishing in a tie for sixth place with a two-day total of 159 (81-79) while Emilia Rose also grabbed a top-ten finish in ninth at 163 (84-79).
  • Abbie Kaestle (13th, 167), Crystal Chong (22nd, 179) and Hailey Ryan (26th, 181) rounded out the Polar Bear entrants this weekend.

  • Bowdoin will head to Vermont this weekend to compete in the George Phinney Classic hosted by Middlebury College.
