Bowdoin College Men's Golf Earns Best Finish at Bowdoin Invitational Since 2014

The Bowdoin College men's golf team placed fourth at the Bowdoin Invitational this weekend at Brunswick Golf Club. The Polar Bears, who led after day one, record their best finish in their home event since the 2014 season.

 

Tournament Highlights

  • In what has become one of the top fields annually in the region, Endicott won the event with a two-day score of 607, edging out Amherst (609) and Trinity (609) in the 15-team field.
  • Bowdoin finished with a two-day total of 307-309-616 for the tournament to take fourth place.
  • Three players tied for medalist honors with a +4 (148) for the two days: Nicholas Li of Trinity, Tyler Baker of Endicott and Maura Stanchieri (Suffolk).
  • Ned Dean led Bowdoin with a 75-75-150 (+6) to end in a tie for fourth.
  • George Fahey was 17th (77-78-155), Jack Barned was 22nd (77-79-156), Liam Jachetta was 42nd (78-83-161) and Oscar Wen was 60th (90-77-167) to round out the Polar Bear competitors.
