#SaintJoesMaine students traveled near and far during spring break. One group joined Dr. Johan Erikson on top of the world (or, as close as we can get to it here in New England). Julia Heroux ‘22 hiked up and down Mount Washington, taking part in Dr. Erikson's long-term study of snow chemistry and acid pollution.
"As we hiked we took depth measurements and samples of snow on both the east and west sides of Mount Washington. We ended up having amazing weather the first day and completed getting all the samples needed! I feel very lucky for the opportunity to hike up Mount Washington alongside other students and professors. It's all for the science, but also for the amazing views along the way."
