The Bowdoin men's hockey team allowed three third period goals en route to a 5-2 setback at Trinity on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears were unable to collect a win this weekend and return to Maine with an 8-4-1 (4-4-1 NESCAC) record. The Bantams are 9-5-0 (6-2-0 NESCAC) on the season.
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin fell behind 2-0 as the Bantams scored under five minutes into action during both the first and second periods.
- Less than two minutes after Trinity's second goal, Bowdoin answered to make it 2-1. Albert Washco found Jimmy Duffy to cut the lead in half.
- The duo combined again at 4:56 in the third period to tie the game.
- Special teams took over for Trinity in the third. The Bantams scored a go-ahead power play goal followed by two short-handed empty-netters in the final minute.
