Former President Donald Trump appeared in federal court in Miami on June 13 and was arraigned on 37 federal criminal charges. Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) released the following statement:
“It is treasonous for any American citizen to compromise our most sensitive military secrets and Donald Trump is no exception. The evidence against Donald Trump is as damning as it is shocking. According to the indictment, Donald Trump – our former commander in chief – endangered our national security and betrayed the American public who entrusted him to safeguard our great country. Today’s arraignment of Donald Trump is a true demonstration of America’s enduring commitment to democracy, and it is my sincere hope justice will be served.”
