Bowdoin College Grand'Pierre and Walsh Named NESCAC Swimmers of the Week | Bowdoin College
Bowdoin College swimmers Alex Grand'Pierre (Atlanta, Ga.) and Elizabeth Walsh (San Antonio, Texas) have been named Swimmers of the Week by the New England Small College Athletic Conference.
Walsh continued her outstanding first year as a Polar Bear. The rookie led the way in a team win over Middlebury with three individual wins in the 200 freestyle (1:55.75), 500 freestyle (5:04.86), and the 200 IM (207.23).
Grand'Pierre stood out in a strong team effort against Middlebury. He swam the breaststroke leg on the winning medley relay (25.28), won the 100 breaststroke (:57.35), was second in the 50 freestyle (:22.32), and took first in the 200 breaststroke (2:09.43).
