Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) proudly announces basketball Players of the Week, including a United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Player of the Week.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Maddy York | Southern Maine CC | F | SO
Sophomore Maddy York takes home the YSCC and USCAA DII Players of the Week. Maddy set new season-high point totals in consecutive wins last week, going for 24 points at Great Bay Community College and 27 at Vermont Technical College. During this stretch, York connected on nearly 43 percent from the field and totaled 16 rebounds and 11 steals.
MEN'S BASKETBALL
Jack Pyzynski | Southern Maine CC | G | SO
Sophomore captain Jack Pyzynski averaged 18 PPG over an efficient shooting display of 60.9 percent in two YSCC wins last week. Tasked with guarding the opposition's scoring threat, Pyzynski held both to well below their scoring averages. Showing dynamic ability to play on both ends of the floor, Pyzynski totaled four steals and five assists spanning 60 minutes.
