Bowdoin College Women's Golf Battles Tough Conditions To Take Ninth at Middlebury

The Bowdoin College women's golf team placed ninth of 12 teams at the George Phinney Classic hosted by Middlebury College this weekend.

 

Tournament Highlights

  • On a challenging course setup and frisky wind conditions as the weekend progressed, the Polar Bears posted a two-day total of 706, finishing just behind Bates (700) and ahead of Wesleyan (720).
  • Schivani Schmulen was Bowdoin's top finisher for the weekend, totaling 170 (84-86) to end in a tie for 27th place.
  • Emilia Rose was 41st at 177, followed by Crystal Chone in 51st spot at 181.
  • Abbie Kaestle and Olivia Wirsching ended with identical 183's to round out the weekend's competitors for Bowdoin.
