The Bowdoin College women's golf team placed ninth of 12 teams at the George Phinney Classic hosted by Middlebury College this weekend.
Tournament Highlights
- On a challenging course setup and frisky wind conditions as the weekend progressed, the Polar Bears posted a two-day total of 706, finishing just behind Bates (700) and ahead of Wesleyan (720).
- Schivani Schmulen was Bowdoin's top finisher for the weekend, totaling 170 (84-86) to end in a tie for 27th place.
- Emilia Rose was 41st at 177, followed by Crystal Chone in 51st spot at 181.
- Abbie Kaestle and Olivia Wirsching ended with identical 183's to round out the weekend's competitors for Bowdoin.
- The Polar Bears will head to Cold Springs Golf Club in Belchertown, Mass., next weekend for the NESCAC Fall Qualifier
