Bowdoin College Men’s Soccer Eases to Wednesday Road Win at Thomas

The Bowdoin College men's soccer team returned to the win column with a 4-0 road win at Thomas College on Wednesday evening. The Polar Bears move to 6-1-1 on the year with the victory.

Game Highlights 

  • Bowdoin dominated throughout the match, including in the opening half, but could only dent the scoreboard once in the opening half.
  • The Polar Bears, who outshot Thomas 22-1 in the first half, got on the scoreboard in the 23rd minute when Luke Macaione put home his first goal of the year with an assist credited to Paul Surkov. 
  • Bowdoin put the game away with three goals in the second half, including two from Matt Braver in a span of 3:03 midway through the frame.  
  • Drew Phillips' second goal of the year, with an assist to Braver, capped the scoring in the 83rd minute.

  • Braver finished with two goals and an assist in the victory. 
  • Michael Webber went the distance in goal for the Polar Bears without needing to make a save. 
  • Bowdoin finished the contest with a 46-1 shot advantage.

  • Bowdoin will be off until the middle of next week, when they head to Husson for a 7:30 p.m. match on Wednesday, October 5.
