There’s something special about our Porteous Building entrance on Congress Street. On view is a mind-blowing illustration created by our very own Professor Andrew DeGraff that highlights the biggest evolutions across the fields of art and design over our College’s 140-year history.
“Working with Drew has been a phenomenal opportunity for the College to process its place in history, engage with the public, and inspire new and returning students,” said Steve Bowden ’97, Director of Marketing and Brand Manager.
Over the course of the year, in recognition of the 140th anniversary, Maine College of Art & Design will share stories and work from the vaults to continue inspiring newer generations in its community.
In the meantime, don’t miss your chance to explore DeGraff’s incredible representation. Have you already spotted it? Take another look – you are bound to find something new from our College’s deep history and presence across 140 years of art and design movements each time you do!
