Maine College of Art Carter Shappy ’15 Wins First Round of Epic Grants

Maine College of Art & Design and Canopy Portland Waterfront are thrilled to announce Carter Shappy ’15 as the winner of the first round of their Epic Grants collaboration, which is designed to give a local artist (or artist team) an unrestricted grant of $2,500. The winner is chosen based on the merit of their work, their impact in the community and the quality of their activation proposal.

Carter is a Portland-based printmaker, muralist, illustrator and designer who makes a positive impact in the city and beyond. Stay tuned for information on Carter’s live printing demonstration and pop-up event that will take place at Canopy Portland Waterfront this fall.

Congrats Carter!
