061e

On April 28th 2022 at approximately 2:45 PM, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Webbs Mills Road in Raymond.  The caller stated that the operator had been ejected and was trapped underneath the vehicle.

Sheriff’s Deputies and Raymond Fire Department arrived quickly and were able to free the operator and transport her to Maine Medical Center for treatment of her serious and potentially life threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed that Melissa Dube, 44 years old of Raymond, was driving her 2007 Toyota Yaris, without a seatbelt, when she lost control of the vehicle, crashing into an embankment.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Raymond Fire Department. The roadway was closed for approximately an hour.   At this time the cause of the crash is under investigation.  Speed, impairment and vehicle defects are being considered as factors in the crash.
