Last week we asked you to give what you could to our College on Giving Day. Ordinarily, this might feel like a small ask - just a moment to show how much Saint Joseph's means to each of us. This year, our Giving Day fundraising request felt different, because this year is different.
You responded. As of today, our Giving Day Campaign has raised a total of $81,111. On Giving Day, during our special 24-hour challenge to support Ukraine we raised $36,715. With overwhelming support from the community the College will provide a donation of $18,358 to Partners for World Health. This gift will support their efforts to supply those impacted by the invasion with medical supplies and other necessities.
Our gratitude to those who gave, shared, and supported our Giving Day activities last week is boundless. Your enthusiasm to see the College succeed is inspiring. Your commitment to our Mercy mission and support of Ukraine follows in the tradition of Catherine McAuley, who devoted her life and her legacy to serving the greatest need.
Thank you for everything you did to make such a big difference… a little differently. You helped Saint Joseph’s make Mercy go further. We are a community that rises to meet the moment, and we are so proud you're part of it.
