Cost of college was unchanged for all students at the Spa Tech Institute-Westbrook

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at the Spa Tech Institute-Westbrook, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Maine students paid $14,500 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 80 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 45 students received grants or scholarships totaling $174,991 and 60 students took out student loans totaling more than $327,010.

Including all undergraduates (209), 129 students used grants or scholarships totaling $495,990, and 189 students took out $931,147 in federal student loans.
