Since it’s Earth Week, let’s talk about one of the ways we’re keeping #SaintJoesMaine sustainable, one green at a time. We’re talking about the Freight Farm, a 320-square-foot shipping container that houses our small-scale hydroponic farming operation.

Since 2017, the farm has become a fully functioning, student-run factory producing 30-40 pounds of lettuce that travels a few steps away and onto your plate at Pearson’s Cafe.

Have some time to spare today? Head over to the Freight Farm and take a tour at 1pm! Check out our IG stories after the tour to test your Freight Farm knowledge.
