At 12:34 (05-02-2-22) North Yarmouth Tank 53, UTV-58, and Service 54 was dispatched to 160 Milliken Road for a permitted burn that had gotten away from the property owner.

While Enroute Chief 501 added E-52 to the box as B-57 was out of service for Maintenance. Capt. 504 and 528 arrived onscene to find a fire spreading into the woods and starting working on trying to contain the fire. Chief 501 arrived on scene to deploy his 10# ABC Extinguisher to knock down the head of the fire and limit any further spread. Chief 501 assumed command with a 50′ x 200′ woods fire. Command requested Pownal Squad 4 to assist with manpower and for Fire alarm to make notification to the forest service.

E-52 arrived with a crew of 3 and deployed 200′ of forestry line to extinguish the remain hotspots and to start overhaul of the area. Tank 53 arrived on scene to feed E-52 with water supply. Companies also deployed class A foam to the area. The remaining companies arrived to assist with overhaul of the area. Great job by the initial crews with containment and overhaul. The Maine Forest Service responded for the report. No injuries were reported.

All companies were back in service by 14:00
