How many companies in cities in Cumberland County received FDA inspections in Q3?

There were five companies in a city associated with Cumberland County, Maine, that received five FDA inspections in the third quarter of 2024, according to reports from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

This is a 66.7% increase over the number of companies inspected in the previous quarter, when three companies received three inspections.

Most of the companies inspected at the time were involved in the Food and Cosmetics sector. The second most common type of company inspected worked in the Biologics sector.

All of the companies were in line with FDA regulations, and don’t need to adjust their managing operations or regulatory/administrative actions.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.
