Chellie Pingree, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Maine’s 1st district, has been vocal on various issues through her recent social media posts. Her comments reflect her commitment to addressing both state and national concerns.

On November 19, 2024, Pingree expressed support for Sarah McBride, stating: “This is hateful and cruel. Full stop. @SarahEMcBride was elected because her constituents *know* she can deliver real results—just as she did as a state senator. I’m honored to serve with her, and I look forward to working together to tackle the *real* issues facing our country.”

On November 20, 2024, she shared positive news regarding Maine’s lobster industry: “GREAT news for Maine’s lobster industry! @NOAA just announced $1.9M in funding for Maine-based researchers. With the Gulf of Maine rapidly warming, understanding the impact on lobster populations is critical—so we can do everything we can to protect this vital industry.”

Later that day, Pingree addressed financial needs related to veterans’ services: “In recent months, the VA has notified Congress that additional money is needed to cover costs for the Veterans Health and Benefits Administrations that were not included in their FY25 budget proposal.”
